Ingredients (Serves 4):
1 package of soybean steaks, 1 litre of vegetable broth, 400 grs bread crumbs, 1 cup of flour, 1 cup of water, 1 tbsp of garlic powder, 1 tbsp of dried parsley, ½ tbsp of turmeric, ½ tsp of salt and ½ tsp of pepper.
Hydrate the soja steaks following the package instructions. We use vegetable broth and let them soak in the hot broth for 5-10 minutes. After this time, remove the slices and let them drain in a strainer.
In a deep dish, dilute the flour in the warm water and add the salt, pepper and turmeric. Mix well until there is a homogeneous texture.
In another deep dish put the bread crumbs, garlic and parsley and mix well.
Pass the steaks in the mixture of flour and water on both sides until well impregnated. Then place it on the plate with bread crumbs crushing it with the palm of the hand, on one side and the other, so that the bread crumbs are well glued on each side.
In a frying pan with plenty of oil, fry the Milanese over high heat for about two minutes on each side, until the Milanese is golden on both sides.
Serve with mashed potatoes, salad or grilled vegetables.
